Kindergarten Fridge Facts
Each week, your child will bring home a Fridge Facts. Fridge Facts will give you ideas of what we are working on in each subject area along with ways to help your child at home for the week. Your child is not required to do all of the activities. Your child should return the activities completed on Friday (or the last day of the week).
Sound Book
During the beginning of the Jolly Phonics unit. The students will bring home a sound book each day. They will teach you the letter sound and action, song, and tell you a story about the letter. We would like you to make sure that your child is bring home their book every day and practicing with you. If you would like to do some more work with your child you could like of words that begin with the letter sound and even try to write them.
Spelling Book
Once we have learned enough sounds and learned how to blend, your child will bring home a spelling book with a list of 10 words. You should say the word to your child and show them the actions if needed. They should try their best to spell the word. Do not correct their work. It is important for them to think about and write the sounds they hear. We don't expect them to get everyone correct, just try to hear as many sounds as they can.
